I’ve been a product marketer since before people understood that there was a difference between product marketing, marketing communications and PR.  An engineer by training, I’ve spent the past 17 years working with information technology and communications products and solutions.  My specialty is introducing new technology to market.  I’ve held senior positions at large global companies including IBM, Siebel Systems (the world’s leading provider of CRM solutions acquired by Oracle), and Sybase.  I’ve also led marketing teams at startups including Janna Systems, Infobright, Data Mirror and Watcom (the majority of which have been acquired).  You can see more detail on my work background on my LinkedIn profile.
